Russian President Vladimir Putin has issued a message congratulating Mr. Ranil Wickramasinghe on becoming the new President of Sri Lanka.
The English translation of the congratulatory message sent to the Russian Embassy in Sri Lanka yesterday evening has been forwarded to President Ranil Wickramasinghe this morning by the Russian Ambassador to Sri Lanka.
Before this, the Chinese President also sent messages congratulating President Ranil Wickremesinghe and it was not reported that diplomatic level greetings were sent from America and Western countries as well as neighboring India.
The congratulatory message issued by Russian President Vladimir Putin is as follows.
