Today, the activists decided to withdraw and remove the ‘No Deal Gama’ which was run on the side of Galle road in front of Temple Trees.
The activists took this step after going to the office of the United Nations in this country and handing over the letter requesting them to intervene in the future threats that could happen to their (activists’) lives.
The No Deal Village has been operational since May 13. That was after Mr. Ranil Wickramasinghe was sworn in as Prime Minister. Before that there was a protest called ‘Maina Go Gama’ at the very same place.
