The Inspector General of Police today took action to reinstate the Senior Superintendent of Police Romesh Liyanage, who was suspended for assaulting a group of journalists who were covering the protest held in front of President Ranil Wickramasinghe’s residence at Fifth Lane, Kollupitiya.
The information from the police headquarters stated that it was taken into consideration the completion of the investigation regarding the attack.
