77 people who tried to illegally migrate to Australia by sea were taken into custody by the Navy in the Kaluwankeni Sea area of Batticaloa early this morning.
The Navy states that they are being handed over to the Trincomalee Police Station. They are residents of Jaffna, Vavuniya and Trincomalee.
