Prime Minister Ranil Wickramasinghe has announced to the party leaders that he is ready to resign from the post of Prime Minister and give power to an all-party government.
He says that he is taking this decision since the island-wide fuel distribution has to be resumed this week, the director of the World Food Program is to visit the island this week, and the debt sustainability report of the International Monetary Fund has to be presented.
So he agrees to this recommendation of the opposition party leaders to ensure the safety of the citizens.
