At the emergency party leaders’ meeting held at the Speaker’s official residence, it was decided that the President and the Prime Minister should resign and Speaker should assume the presidency temporarily.
Member of Parliament Rauf Hakeem had mentioned this in a note on his official Twitter account.

Correction to my earlier tweet on consensus to ask PM and President to resign. No consensus as PM disagrees. Speaker however decided to write to President and PM to resign as per overwhelming request.
