The Ministry of Defense has issued an announcement this afternoon regarding the article circulating on social media about a possible terrorist attack on the 5th and 6th.
The relevant press release is as follows.
The letter submitted by the Inspector General of Police to the Secretary of Defense mentioning information about a terrorist attack is currently circulating in the social media.
Highlighting the ‘Black July’ in that article, the revelation of a terrorist attack which is said to take place on the 5th and 6th of this month has been taken into account based on unconfirmed information received through the intelligence agencies.
This information is still not a confirmed information by the intelligence agencies and as mentioned in the article, no ground information has been received about the possibility of a terrorist attack highlighting ‘Black July’.
It was further informed that these attacks could be carried out by terrorist groups and various anti-government groups and could incite violence to discredit and destabilize the government.
Further investigations are currently being carried out on this intelligence information and all measures have been taken to ensure high security by giving priority to public safety.
Accordingly, the Ministry of Defense requests the public not to worry and engage in their daily activities.
