Steps have been taken to set up a filling station at the Bastian Mawatha bus stand in Pettah to provide fuel for private buses.
Today, it is equipped with a refueling tank and a fuel pump.
According to an idea of the Minister of Transport and Highways, Dr. Bandula Gunawardena, this filling station has been established to provide uninterrupted fuel supply to private buses.
Another similar filling station will be set up at Makumbura, Kottawa.
