Police have arrested the man who shot and killed a 31-year-old monk in the Pansiyagama Na Uyana forest.
He was on his way to the village from the forest for Pindapathaya when he was shot dead on the 13th.
He was shot in the leg and died after being without proper treatment for hours.
The weapon that led to his death was on a hunting ground. The Pansiyagama Police have arrested the suspect. The suspect is a 52 year old resident of Pansiyagama, police said.
