The CID has arrested the President of the Federation of Self-Employed (FOSE), Colombo Municipal Councilor Mahindaratne Kahandagama, in connection with the attack on the Galle Face protesters.
He appeared before the CID today and was arrested after recording a statement from him.
The Attorney General’s Department informed the Fort Chief Magistrate’s Court yesterday that Mahinda Kahandagama has been named as a suspect in the attack on protesters. Accordingly, Mr. Kahandagama handed over himself to the CID today.
