Two out of four persons admitted to the Mannar Hospital have died due to an illness caused by excessive consumption of drugs and alcohol.
The four were traveling in a car and were hospitalized due to a complication.
The deceased have been identified as a 26-year-old and a 34-year-old resident of Talaimannar and Pesalai.
The suspects had fallen ill while riding in a car using drugs and alcohol last evening in the Uyinkulam area.
The post-mortem revealed that the cause of death was excessive consumption of drugs and alcohol, according to the Mannar Police.
