Manusha Nanayakkara, Minister of Foreign Employment and Labor said that training centers will be established to give more opportunities to Sri Lankan youth for employment in Malaysia.
The Minister said that a Memorandum of Understanding had been signed in 2016 to establish a Malaysian Training Center in Sri Lanka during his tenure as the Deputy Minister of Foreign Employment and that the agreement would be reconsidered and the Malaysian Training Center would be established.
Mr. Nanayakkara also had a meeting with the Malaysian High Commissioner to Sri Lanka Tang Yang Tai today, where he agreed to provide more Malaysian employment opportunities for Sri Lankan youth.


The Malaysian High Commissioner also said that steps would be taken to introduce a minimum wage for Sri Lankans working in Malaysia.
