Minister of Public Security Tiran Alles and IGP C. D. Wickramaratne is scheduled to meet the Attorney General today.
The meeting is scheduled to take place at around 10.00 am.
During the discussion with the Western Province Police Chiefs after Tiran Alles took over as Minister of Public Defense, a number of issues related to legal issues and obstacles encountered by the police officers in performing their duties and they will be discussed at this meeting.
They will also exchange views on the attack on protesters on the 9th and there is a strong rumor in the police that this meeting is being held to talk about the accused police officers.
