Galle Face attack: Two MPs arrested

Two parliamentarians were arrested by the CID this evening in connection with the attack on the Galle Face protesters.

The arrested persons are Sanath Nishantha and Milan Jayatilleke, former parliamentarians of the Sri Lanka Podujana Pearamuna.

The suspects were arrested at two locations by the CID, police said.

The CID is also currently interrogating the Senior DIG in charge of the Western Province Deshabandu Tennakoon.
