Senior DIG in charge of the Western Province Deshabandu Tennakoon has been assaulted by a group in Colombo today.
Deshabandu Tennakoon, who was travelling in a car without security guards in civil uniform, was assaulted on the back road leading to Temple Trees.
He was surrounded by a group of youths who attacked him with their hands, feet, sticks and motorcycle helmets.
