It was decided at a special discussion held at the Parliament complex this morning (4) under the patronage of Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena to deploy special security arrangements for the complex.
Accordingly, special security forces will be deployed at the Parliament complex and the surrounding areas and the Diyawanna Oya around the Parliament.
Retired Minister of Public Defense Rear Admiral Sarath Weerasekera and a number of Chiefs of the Armed Forces, Police and Security Intelligence were also present at the discussion.
Meanwhile, Parliament is scheduled to convene tomorrow (5) at 10.00 am with Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena presiding.
