Prime Minister’s action to save fuel

Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa has instructed officials of the Prime Minister’s Office and the Ministries of the Prime Minister’s Office to carry out their duties from home as one of the steps to save fuel at a time when the country is facing an unprecedented challenge.

The Prime Minister said that he was grateful to the officers for performing their duties to the best of their ability, even in the absence of an uninterrupted power supply.

The Prime Minister emphasized that we as a government are deeply aware of the difficulties of the people due to this crisis and are taking all possible steps to overcome those limitations.

Despite many difficulties, we have a recent history of overcoming many challenges, including the Thirty Years of Terrorism and the Covid epidemic, with the patience and support of the people.

The Prime Minister called on the people to join hands in the name of the motherland to overcome this challenge in the same way.
