Minister of Youth and Sports Namal Rajapaksa has decided to bring in to work only those who are essential to the staff of the Ministry of Sports to curb the cost of transport and electricity.
The Minister states in a note on his official Facebook account that he has instructed the Secretary to the Ministry in this regard. It further states that other employees are able to perform their duties from home.
Here’s what he said in his official Facebook account.
“I have instructed the Sec of Ministry of Youth and Sports to seek approval of the Sec of Public Administration to bring in to work only the essential officers of the ministry in a bid to curb the transport & electricity expenditure. The rest may work from home if required. #Letsdoourpart”
