It is reported that Litro and Laugfs gas companies have decided to temporarily suspend gas distribution from today.
That is because they do not have enough gas.
However, Litro states that they will supply only a limited amount of gas for essential services.
Meanwhile, the High Level Road in Homagama has been blocked due to a protest by a group of people who had come to buy gas cylinders.
Gas queues have been seen at this location for several days and yesterday too there was heavy traffic with the oil queues also continuing for miles towards Kottawa and Nugegoda on the other side of the road.
