Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) has estimated a loss of around Rs. 11 billion this month, according to its chairman Sumith Wijesinghe.
He said he had requested the Ministry of Finance to increase fuel prices or provide tax relief on fuel to avoid this situation.
He also said that the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation has to bear a heavy loss by maintaining fuel prices under the current circumstances.
