Minister of State Arundika Fernando has decided to resign.
He has said that he has decided to resign from the post until a full investigation is carried out into the attack on a group of students at the Ragama Medical Faculty.
Mr. Arundika was the State Minister of Coconut, Kitul and Palmyrah Cultivation Promotion and Allied Industrial Products Production and Export Diversification.
Meanwhile, the suspects including the son of Arundika Fernando who were arrested in connection with the incident have been remanded after being produced before court.
