The National Transport Commission (NTC) has introduced a new hotline number 071-2595555 for directing videos of inter-provincial bus employees engaging in illegal activities, including traffic violations while operating the buses.
Accordingly, the Director-General of the National Transport Commission, Dr. Thilan Miranda has requested the public to send videos of various illegal activities carried out by employees during the bus service to the above telephone numbers through WhatsApp, Viber, or Emo.
He stated that the videos would be used as evidence in investigations into those relevant illegal activities.
Dr. Thilan Miranda further stated that complaints can continue to be made to the National Transport Commission hotline number 1955 and that this new number has been introduced to further provide security to the public.
