Due to the shortage of train controllers, several train journeys have been canceled in recent days.
The Railway Department further stated that 21 train journeys had to be canceled last Friday due to a shortage of controllers.
Meanwhile, 14 train journeys on several routes have been canceled due to the several train controllers infected with covid.
Accordingly, 06 trains on the mainline, 04 trains on the coastal line and the Kelani Valley line, 03 trains on the Puttalam line and trains traveling to Kurunegala on the Northern line were also canceled, the department said in a statement.
