Steps have been taken to reduce the price of imported samba rice sold by the Sathosa by Rs. 2 per kilo.
Trade Minister Bandula Gunawardena says that a kilo of imported samba rice was sold at Rs. 130 by the Sathosa will be sold at Rs. 128 from today (29).
Meanwhile, the Consumer Affairs Authority has issued a gazette notification removing the maximum retail price for local water bottles.
