Sri Lanka Cricket captain Chamari Atapattu has entered the International Cricket Council’s list of the top 10 women’s Twenty20 batsmen.
That was due to her batting prowess at the recent qualifiers for the Commonwealth Games, which concluded in Malaysia recently.
Atapattu moved up to the eighth position in the women’s T20I rankings after scoring 221 runs in four matches in the tournament. It was recorded as an advance of six positions from where she was staying.
Atapattu was also chosen as the most talented player of the Tournament. In addition to the list of top 10 batsmen, she also moved up to seventh place in the list of Twenty20 all-rounders.
