The National Transport Commission (NTC) has requested the public to call the 1955 hotline regarding buses charging more than the approved fares.
Its chairman Shashi Welgama stated that steps would be taken to revoke the route permits of such buses.
Mr. Welgama further stated that the media has publicized the increase in bus fares and that the law will be strictly enforced against buses that charge more than that.
