The government has decided to provide an additional allowance of Rs. 5,000 per month to the salaries of all state sector employees.
This was stated by the Minister of Finance Basil Rajapaksa at a media briefing held this evening.
It has also been decided to provide an additional allowance of Rs. 1000 to the monthly allowance of Rs. 3,500 for Samurdhi recipients from January, said Basil Rajapaksa.
