The Ceylon Teachers’ Union alleges that the teachers who evaluated the answer scripts in the second phase of the GCE Ordinary Level 2020 examination have not been paid.
Chief Inspectors and Invigilators who evaluated the answer scripts of the second phase of the examination have not been paid the combined allowances, meeting allowances, travel allowances and Covid allowances, Joseph Stalin, General Secretary of the Ceylon Teachers Union said.
But he said those allowances had been paid to teachers who evaluated the answer scripts in the first phase.
Therefore, the Department of Examinations is requested to pay the combined allowances to the teachers who evaluated the answer scripts in the second phase as well, he said.
