The program to attach 50,000 unemployed graduates who have been recruited to the state service, to the permanent service will be implemented from today.
Under this, the first batch of graduates from the Northern Province has assumed duties in the permanent service.
456 trainee graduates from Jaffna, Vavuniya, Mannar, Mullaitivu, and Kilinochchi districts have been appointed to permanent posts and will commence their duties in the state service today.
All of them have been appointed as Development Officers in Government Schools.
Another 972 trainee graduates will be given permanent appointments in the coming days.
