Secretary to the Ministry of Public Security Jagath Alwis has approved the appointment of two Senior Superintendents of Police (SSPs) to cover the posts of DIGs.
Director of the Traffic Control and Road Safety Division SSP Indika Hapugoda and Director of the CID Mr. M. A. R. Premaratne has been appointed as the 02 Deputy Inspector General of Police.
Accordingly, Mr. Indika Hapugoda has been assigned to the DIG duties in Traffic Control and Road Safety while Mr. M. A. R. Premaratne is responsible for covering the duties of DIG in the Western Province Crime Division.
