The Central Cultural Fund has taken steps to upload information, photos, and videos of 107 sunken archeological sites around the island as part of its new project.
Accordingly, information about 101 ships and 6 aircraft has been networked under the submerged archeological sites and the relevant history of those events has also been updated.
The event was presided over by the Minister in charge of the subject Mahinda Rajapaksa at Temple Trees yesterday.
This work is the result of a long commitment made by the Director-General of the Central Cultural Fund, Archaeologist Prof. Gamini Ranasinghe.
Accordingly, tourists, as well as local tourists visiting the country, will have the opportunity to see these submerged archeological sites.
Prof. Gamini Ranasinghe told NewsWave.lk that these places will definitely attract foreigners and will be a future investment in the country.
