    UNESCO identified Dumbara Rata Kalala as a cultural heritage

    ‘Dumbara Rata Kalala’ has been recognized as a UNESCO Cultural Heritage at the 16th Intergovernmental Meeting of the UNESCO Cultural Heritage Committee in France.

    It is due to be announced today in Paris.

    The 16th Intergovernmental Meeting of the UNESCO Cultural Heritage Committee will be chaired by Sri Lanka this year.

    Nearly 800 people, including diplomats and representatives from 184 countries, have joined through the online system.

    Sri Lankan Ambassador to France Senior Professor Kshanika Hirimbure and UNESCO Sri Lanka Branch Secretary General Dr. Punchi Nilame Meegaswatte will preside over the event.

    The 16th Intergovernmental Meeting of the UNESCO Cultural Heritage Committee will be held until the 18th of this month.
