The first death of a person infected with the Omicron strain of the corona virus has been reported in the United Kingdom.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson has confirmed that one person has died as a result of omicron.
The new variant also causes more hospitalizations, and he says the “best thing people can do” is get their booster vaccine.
He went to an injection clinic in London and said that people should put aside the idea that omicron is a mild variant.
