Labor Minister Nimal Siripala de Silva says that people cannot be given relief at the moment.
He said that due to crises like thee Covid 19 spread, the credit crisis, and a shortage of dollars; general public cannot be provided with concessions.
We are saddened because of this situation but there’s nothing to do, he added.
The Minister was responding to the questions posed at the end of a ceremony held in Colombo.
