The Government has decided to construct a National Plant Museum to mark the 200th anniversary of the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens.
This plant museum is to be established in the Peradeniya National Botanical Gardens.
Endemic plants, flowers and related products will be included in the plant museum.
The government has aimed to make the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens, another tourist attraction a world-renowned herbarium from the National Plant Museum.
