The Ministry of Education has decided to appoint Mr. L. M. D. Dharmasena as the new Commissioner General of Examinations who is currently serving as the Additional Secretary to the Ministry of Education.
He will be appointed to fill the vacancy of Sanath Poojitha, retiring tomorrow who is currently the Commissioner General of Examinations.
Dharmasena was a Principal of Ananda College, Colombo and Mahanama College, Colombo for some time and has also served as the Head of the School Examinations, Computer and Research Branches of the Department of Examinations and as the Commissioner of the National Colleges of Education.
He is a graduate of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura and holds a Special Grade Officer in the Education Administrative Service.
