Development Officers in the state and Provincial state Service will be on sick leave on Monday (8) and will engage in a non-attendance trade union action, said the General Secretary of the Development Officers’ Service Union, Chandana Sooriyarachchi.
He also said that the trade unions will take action demanding solutions to seven trade union issues affecting the development officers of the state and provincial state service.
Chandana Sooriyaarachchi, also said that reporting sick leave and not coming to work is the first step to win demands including not increasing the basic salary of development officers, non-implementation of promotions and non-assignment of formal duties.
