The Disaster Management Center warns that there is a possibility of floods in the low-lying areas of Nakkala, Kumbukkana and Okkampitiya in the Kumbukkan Oya basin in the Moneragala District tonight due to the heavy rains prevailing throughout the island.
Accordingly, the Disaster Management Center further requests the public living near the Kumbukkan Oya in those areas to remain vigilant and take action to protect themselves from floods.
