Public Security Minister Sarath Weerasekara asked the woman heads of the police service to create an atmosphere for Sri Lankan women to live without fear.
He made these remarks when he met four woman DIGs and 12 women ASPs.
He said the President created this ministry to create such an environment.
“In such an environment, there cannot be rapists and child abusers,” he said.
