CBSL restructured the Financial System Stability Consultative Committee (FSSCC)

The Central Bank of Sri Lanka has taken steps to restructure the Financial System Stability Consultative Committee (FSSCC) from this month.

The new Committee will be effective from the 6th of this month to the 31st of December 2022.

Accordingly, Dr. Kenneth de Silva, who previously served as its Chairman, will continue to hold the post.

The Secretariat of the Financial System Stability Consultative Committee is continuously headed by the Department of Macro Surveillance (MSD) of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka.

Among the tasks assigned to this Committee are to review the types of financial sector related to the stability of the financial sector, to provide market/stakeholder based feedback on emerging trends and issues in the financial sector, to make proposals for further improvement of financial markets and systems, financial system stability Includes suggestions and advice on risk mitigation measures.

Following is the list of members of the newly reorganized Financial System Stability Consultative Committee (FSSCC).

2. Mr. C.N.S.N. Anthony – Director / General Manager, Credit Information Bureau, Sri Lanka
3. L.H.A. Lakshman Silva – Chairman, Bank of Ceylon Association (Guarantee) Company
4. Niroshan Udage – President, Financial Housing Association of Sri Lanka
5. Mr. Sujeewa Mudalige – Managing Assistant, PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP
6. Mr. Sanjaya Bandara – Vice President, Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka
7. Vish Govindasamy – President, Ceylon Chamber of Commerce
8. Mrs. Shirley Jayawardena – President, Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Sri Lanka
9. Krishan Balendra – Chairman, John Keells Holdings PLC
10. Kushan de Alwis – President’s Counsel
11. Saliya Wickramasuriya – Acting Director General, Colombo Port City Economic Commission
12. Kapila Jayawardena – Group Managing Director, LOLC Holdings PLC
13. Mrs. Chithranjali Dissanayake – Director General, Export Development Board
