Minister of State for Prisons Lohan Ratwatte has stated that there is no truth in the rumors that former parliamentarian Ranjan Ramanayake, who is serving a prison sentence for contempt of court, will be released on a presidential pardon on Prisoner’s Day.
Minister of State Lohan Ratwatte has stated that if Ranjan Ramanayake is released under a general amnesty, there is a process that needs to be done and that such a process has not yet taken place.
