The official cover song video sung by Yohani de Silva, a newcomer to Satheesan’s popular song ‘Menike Mage Hithe ..’, has attracted more fans in Asia and the West and has set a new record of over 100 million views on YouTube.
This is the second time that a Sri Lankan song has crossed 100 million views on YouTube.
The song has been sung in several languages including Tamil and Hindi and videos have been released on social media.
By the 2nd of last month, it had become one of the 5 most-watched songs and the 5 most-watched music videos on YouTube in the last 4 weeks.
