A suspect has been arrested in Kotuwila, Matara for the murder of ‘Sunshine Sudda’, who is said to be a close associate of Makandure Madush, who was a godfather of the underworld.
This man has been identified as a follower of ‘Harak Kata’, a powerful drug dealer and underworld criminal currently based in Dubai.
Police have identified the suspect as Ganesh, who is working at the Matara Medawatta office of the Road Development Authority.
According to a senior police official, investigations have revealed that the suspect, Ganesh had masterminded the assassination plot of ‘Sunshine Sudda’ on instructions from Dubai.
