The Information and Communication Technology Agency (ICTA) says that people over the age of 20 in the Colombo, Gampaha and Kalutara districts of the Western Province can book a date, time and center to receive the first dose of Sinopharm vaccine via online and SMS.
People between 20-30 in the Western Province are eligible to receive this vaccine and all 20+ people in the Gampaha and Kalutara Districts are eligible for it. The vaccination process has already begun.
Eligible citizens can register at https://vaccine.covid19.gov.lk or via SMS. This is being implemented in collaboration with the Information and Communication Technology Agency (ICTA), the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID 19 Outbreak (NOCPCO), the Western Provincial Ministry of Health, the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (TRC) and the Mobile Service.
To register via SMS, type the following commands and send them to 1906.
STEP 01: Type ‘districts’ without quotes to obtain a list of district codes with active vaccination processes.
STEP 02: Select your district code from the district code you received and type it back and send to 1906 to get the area MOH code list. Ex. – Colombo – (COL)
STEP 03: Select the relevant area code Ex. – (COL2) and type it back and send to 1906 to obtain the registered vaccination center codes.
STEP 04: Complete the form and send an SMS with the codes you have obtained to register for your first vaccine.
