The wife of tribal leader Uruwarige Vannila Aththo has died last night.
She died while being treated at the Peradeniya Hospital for the Covid-19 virus.
She was treated there for several days.
During a random inspection of the people living in the vicinity of the Dambana aboriginal village, it was confirmed that the wife of Vannila Aththo had been infected with Covid.
