Police investigations have revealed that about 20 videos of the couple who were naked in the background of the Balangoda Pahanthudawa waterfall, including Meemure, have been made and uploaded to the internet.
The interrogators said that they were motivated to do this about two years ago and that they were selling the footage to an active website in the United States.
The two were infected with the Covid 19 virus and were released on police bail today, according to the Computer Crimes Division.
It has also been revealed that the Pahanthudawa scenes were videotaped in early August. The young man is married and a father of one. Police investigations have revealed that the girl is unmarried and is having an affair with the young man.
The young man is a photographer by profession and met the young woman while photographing. Following the young man’s consent to a proposal made as an easy way to make money, they have taken steps to record nude videos in this manner and post them to the internet.
It has been decided to conduct further investigations into the nude videos in addition to the Pahanthudawa video which has been recently posted on the internet. Police have collected the information about the videos that were posted on the internet and as well as seized the computers, cameras and other equipment used to make the videos.
Further investigations are being conducted by the Director of the Computer Crimes Division of the CID, SSP Ashoka Dharmasena.
