The Ministry of Sports has decided to present a cash prize of Rs. 50 million to Dinesh Priyantha, who also set a world record by winning a gold medal in javelin throw at the Paralympic Games in Tokyo, Japan.
It has also been decided to present a cash prize of Rs. 20 million to Samitha Dulan Kodithuwakku who won a bronze medal in another javelin throw event at the same sports festival.
It has also been decided to present a cash prize of Rs. 16 million to Dinesh Priyantha’s coach Pradeep Nishantha.
