Dinesh Priyantha, who won a gold medal with a world record in the javelin throw event at the Tokyo Paralympics, has been promoted to the rank of Warrant Officer 1.
The promotion was made by Army Commander General Shavendra Silva with the approval of the President and the Defense Secretary.
