    An order was released to increase the Minimum Wage in the Private Sector

    The minimum monthly salary of private sector employees in the country has been increased to Rs. 12,500 and the minimum daily wage to Rs. 500.

    The Commissioner of Labor has issued an official order that this order should come into effect from the 16th of this month.

    Until now, the national minimum wage in the private sector was Rs. 10,000 and the minimum daily wage was Rs. 400.

    According to the Commissioner’s order above, it states that the national minimum wage should include the budget relief allowances No. 36 of 2005 and No. 04 of 2016. Accordingly, the salary should be calculated as follows.
