The Dalada Vandana (ritual homage to the Sacred Tooth Relic) will conclude tomorrow (27th) as previously scheduled.
Nilanga Dela, the Diyawadana Nilame, stated that a higher number of devotees than expected have been arriving daily to participate in the Dalada Vandana.
President Anura Kumara Dissanayake also visited on the 24th, met with the Chief Prelates of the Malwathu and Asgiri Chapters, and held discussions with the Diyawadana Nilame.
Nilanga Dela further noted that the staff of the Dalada Maligawa (Temple of the Tooth), along with the police, military, municipal council, Central Provincial Council, and the people of Kandy including areas like Ampitiya and Katugastota, have rendered significant support to this endeavor.
